Common questions

How is the score worked out?

Each person's Sun, Moon and Venus signs are compared with the other person's: Sun with Sun, Moon with Moon, Venus with Venus, and each Sun with the other's Moon. Each pair is scored by how far apart the two signs sit around the zodiac, and the four scores are averaged.

How is this different from a star sign match?

A star sign match compares Sun signs only. Two people whose Sun signs clash can still have Moon and Venus signs that get along well, which is why the calculator checks all three.

Is it free, and is anything stored?

It's free and there's no sign-up. Birthdays are used for the calculation and then discarded, and a shared result link holds only the signs.

What if I was born on a cusp?

The Sun changes sign on a slightly different day each year. The sign finder on the zodiac signs page checks your exact birthday, and the calculator does the same on its own.
